Some objects also have commands that reward exploration when used correctly.

You may find an inactive portal with a nearby button. If the portal description hints at it, typing "press button" near the portal can grant exploration points and activate travel to another location.
When you earn exploration points, the game tells you how many you gained and why.
Try commands, inspect objects, and read descriptions carefully. Hidden areas, clues, and rewards are often off the obvious path.
You can track your exploration points in the game interface. Some areas, features, or abilities may require a certain amount of exploration progress.
