Gameplay in MudGate
Choose an objective, explore a realm, inspect clues, overcome enemies, and develop your character through levels, abilities, and equipment.
Explore and investigate
Handcrafted realms and generated dungeons contain enemies, puzzles, secrets, and tactical choices. Visual controls and text commands let you move, search, inspect, and interact.
Act in two-second turns
Each turn gives you time to attack, use an ability, move, or react. Actions use dice notation such as d20, and the game log reports each result.
Observe and develop
Line of sight and perception help reveal hidden objects, threats, and opportunities. Strength, dexterity, intelligence, vitality, perception, and luck shape different parts of play.
