Origin story

Elves are rare in MudGate, more often met as scouts, wardens, or quiet travelers than as settled communities. They favor forests and old gate paths where the natural world still remembers older magic.

Some elves remain in Lowbird and the Deep Forest, watching the balance between wilderness and travelers. Others move through harsher realms as messengers, guides, or keepers of songs about places that vanished when the gates failed.

Elves have fought goblins, drow, spirits, and beasts, but they do not claim victory over the wilds. They survive by listening first, moving lightly, and preserving knowledge that shorter-lived folk often lose.
