Solo and co-op in MudGate
MudGate supports solo play and groups of up to eight players. You can travel with friends, non-player companions, or both.
Explore on your own
Solo players can follow objectives, investigate clues, explore handcrafted realms, enter generated dungeons, and develop through levels, stats, abilities, and equipment.
Build and manage a party
Use "party add", "party remove", "party leader", "party leave", "party disband", and "party say" to manage a player group. Inspecting an eligible non-player character can also offer an Add as companion action.
Parties receive an experience bonus that grows with group size. Different classes can protect allies, heal, disrupt enemies, and attack in the same two-second turns.
Choose a play option
The web version is a free shared multiplayer world. You can explore it alone, with non-player companions, or in a player party.
The Steam edition hosts its own game for solo play or online and LAN co-op with up to seven friends. One friend can join a Steam host through Guest Link in a browser.
